The EVO SS was originally designed for the GoPro Hero3 thru Hero4 Black. The latest GoPro Hero5 and Hero6 Black cameras work great with the EVO SS however they are heavier than the previous Hero3/Hero4 version. This extra weight throws off the roll balance of the gimbal which can cause unwanted camera deflection and stabilization degradation when the gimbal is under heavy vertical z-axis acceleration - common in downhill mountain biking.

This simple counterweight kit solves that problem. Attach the counterweight to the Tilt Axis motor and the SS will balance perfectly.
