Due to popular demand we now offer a GoPro HERO8 mounting kit for the original EVO GP, EVO GP-PRO and EVO SS models. 

The HERO8 kit features a custom, in-house 3D Printed mount bracket that screws in place of your existing mounting bracket. It is a simple 2 screw swap and is made relatively easy with the included 1.5mm allen driver.

Unlike our other mounts, the HERO8 simply slides in from the side of the mount and is then secured using a silicone rubber strap. The backside of the mount is open design for clear view of the LCD screen. Mode and power buttons are easy to press with this mount. 

Included in the kit is a c-clamp style custom counterweight that simply clamps onto the backside of the gimbal's roll arm. (we will have a tutorial video on this next week)

Please be sure to select the correct kit for your gimbal above as the SS and GP-PRO mounts are specific for each model.

Good but not excellent. I wish they had put some more engineering into it.

I am not very pleased with the rubber band system they came up with. I wish there was some sort of mechanical lock system rather than that flimsy rubber band, which, by it's own nature, is destined to fail sooner rather than later. I am sure they could have engineered something more on par with their prior high quality products. I don't know... Maybe I am just jumping the gun in here but I am not thrilled about becoming dependant to a disposable rubber band. What are we supposed to do? Keep buying rubber bands every time they snap? Will they be cover by warranty? After that, will/are they even available as a single item, or do we need to buy a whole new kit? What about securing my $500 camera when the band snaps and the GoPro comes flying into the ground? I love this company and their stand behind filosophy though, thus I am giving them such a high score, otherwise I wouldn't be so lenient. Very rough 3D printing.

Hi Carlos, Thanks for your feedback. Yes you can certainly purchase spare bands from us. We are pretty rough on our equipment an in all our testing we have not had a band break or a camera fall out. If you need anything don't hesitate to reach out! Thanks, Peter

EVO SS Mount Kit for HERO8 Black

I received the Mount Kit for HERO8 Black quickly. The mount is a 3D printed part the fit is a little rough and I had to do some sanding to get the fit correct. Overall the mount works and I am happy to be able to use the EVO SS gimbal with my Hero 8 GoPro.
